PARTY SONGS REVIEW

Cha Cha Charey
Vocals: Suriya, Karthi, Venkat Prabhu, Premgi, Khareshma Ravichandran
Lyrics: Parthi Bhasker

Cha Cha Charey is that quintessential party track for Party! A super-fun EDM track that has a host of star singers in Suriya, Karthi, VP and Premgi. The lyrics are very contemporary and easy to pick up! All the singers have done a commendable job in bringing the fun feeling to the track. The synths are fresh and blend well with the beats to bring out a thorough foot-tapping number! This song is sure to work in the theaters too.

Thaen Pudhu Thaen
Vocals: GV Prakash Kumar, Saindhavi Prakash
Lyrics: Gangai Amaren

This is a purely romantic melody which can be shown off by Premgi as a very soothing and beautiful melody. The biggest takeaway of this track would be the string orchestra and the arrangements. Roping in GV Prakash and Saindhavi has proven to be the perfect choice for this track, given their history of love songs together. The rhythm falls in line with the melodic composition and works very well. The veena adds so much value to the track and makes it feel a little more grounded. On the whole, it is a well-structured melody and one that will definitely stick to the hearts of the listeners.

Kodi Mangani
Vocals: SP Balasubrahmanyam and KS Chitra
Lyrics: Gangai Amaren

When you're given with a situation that requires a retro track, what is a better choice than to fall into the Ilayaraaja pattern and bring in SPB and Chitra to croon it? Kodi Mangani wins right there! As mentioned by Venkat Prabhu, this is a genuine tribute to Ilayaraaja as the track says his name aloud throughout. The rendition from SPB and Chitra is so youthful that they keep proving why their voices are evergreen. The tones used for this track are very 80s-ish and the feel is brought in with ease. Following the atypical song format, Premgi shows off his talent effortlessly with this track! Kodi Mangani is a peppy-retro number that you'll find yourself immersed in.

GST
Vocals: Swagatha S Krishnan, D Imman
Lyrics: Karunakaran

GST is a very powerful track from Premgi. He plays strong with the percussions and the rhythm almost seems unstoppable. Its collaboration with the synth and bass is very strong and comes out as a really interestingly programmed combo. The tune is as intimate as catchy it is. A very Indian-ish feel is very neatly brought into the track that is more techno-reliant as the Tabla interludes are very fresh! D Imman and Swagatha's rendition is something to cherish as it gives the song a good push.

Kannampoochi
Vocals: Anirudh Ravichander, Malavika
Lyrics: Madan Karky

Kannampoochi is another peppy composition from Premgi for Party. This is another rhythm-dependent track that is well arranged. The tones are again very fresh and they sound neat. Anirudh and Malavika's voices are well mixed and they sound interesting. The song gives the feel of another intimate romantic song and to match that feel, seductive sounds are added
Verdict: Premgi makes a strong statement with a well-balanced fun album for Party!
